Simple way to improve your club head speed
Golfer: “How can I increase my club head speed to improve my golf game?”
Peter: “Stand on 1 leg, close your eyes and balance for as long as you can on one leg!”
Golfer: “You must be joking!”
Not at all!
Here is the best explanation:
If you were standing in a canoe on a quiet lake, getting ready to hit a golf ball off a tee on the canoe, as soon as you would start transferring your weight from your backswing to your follow-through, the canoe would wobble, you would be unstable and your swing will not be as powerful as you would like.
Now imagine if you were wearing golf cleats, 6” long and you were stuck in the grass and all you had to do was hit the ball. Your club would travel faster than ever before because you are firmly planted (i.e. STABLE), and your brain would not need to multitask!
Standing on 1 leg is the simplest way to training this! We can show you how to progress as your season progresses!
