Losing weight is NOT just about losing weight! When losing weight, one must be able to maintain the lean muscle tissues necessary to keep joints strong and functional!
We here at the The SPORT Specialists, are investing in owning the inBody 230…and we will be using it in depth to objectively determine our members” skeletal muscle mass, BMI, weight, fat, water content in EACH limb and trunk and torso!!
You see, when people lose weight, that is EXACTLY what they are doing! They are dropping and shedding pounds but are doing NOTHING to encourage bone density and skeletal muscle mass to maintain and improve their joint strength, stability and be able to move better through exercise!
When embarking on a weight loss program, the scale is the LAST thing that should be looked at! You should be concentrating on gaining lean muscle tissue AND losing unwanted fat weight while perfecting your movements through exercise, and you will ALWAYS succeed in fitness! This is where weight bearing exercises become important! Muscles, ligaments and bones get stronger when they are stressed in a good way! Push ups and squats (with progressions and regressions) are great upper and lower body, respectively, weight bearing exercises to promote joint and tissue health! [D2S-logo-jpeg-for-marketing]
