Remember how happy you felt when you heard the last school bell of the year to let you know that school was done?
Let the summer begin!
Kids naturally have a curiosity that allows them to play and play hard! They will create games with the zaniest ideas. Give a child some Tupperware, a ball, a stick or even an empty water bottle and they will come up with numerous games (some of which make no sense to us) and they will PLAY for hours! Their energy is sometimes limitless! The operative word here is play!
We can surely learn from them!
Ever wanted to kayak or canoe? They are readily available for rent and there are clubs that exist for amateur paddlers! Are you interested in hiking? Quebec is full of amazing hiking trails! Play some tennis or badminton on the weekend (you don’t have to be that good at it…just do it!). Join a Master’s swimming group. Take an aqua-fitness class! Throw a few Frisbees around! Bike! Walk! Go to a park and chase your kid through the jungle gyms!
Anything that will keep you active! It is healthy for your nervous system, heart, body and sanity!

Speaking of being a kid…
Do you know teenagers who would like to start training and don’t know where to start? A number of our members and coaches have come to us seeking advice on how to properly condition their young athletes. Last summer we had a large amount of teens join our studio and the results were impressive. Each became stronger, leaner and faster. This led us to develop a summer membership just for them!
Our mission is to provide a fun exercise environment. At the same time, our program will establish safe and effective ways to develop a sound foundation for training.
What makes this youth program different from others? A heightened focus that is centered on correcting muscular imbalances, coordination, and flexibility. This will not only improve the participating athletes in their respective sports, but will also reduce the risk of injury.
