Want something sweet?
BANANA ICE CREAM SUNDAE with CHOCOLATE SAUCE
Another weekend brings along another temptation to cheat (on your diet…)! Being creative with your meals can help you stay on track, delivering good taste and good health. To help you out, check the below recipe. It's one of our favorites! The amazing taste of ice cream that'll make you feel great afterwards.
Ice cream:
- 3 frozen bananas
Chocolate sauce:
- 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon cacao powder (or carob powder- not to cheat!)
- 1 teaspoon agave syrup or preferred sweetener
Toppings:
- Almond butter
- Mulberries
- Anything else your heart desires
To make the ice cream: put the bananas in a high speed blender and blend until they become a creamy, fluffy, white soft serve ice cream. Scoop into a bowl.
To make chocolate sauce: whisk the ingredients together. Drizzle over your ice cream along with the rest of your toppings. Time to spoon.
Yum. Enjoy!
*** Although this is a healthy alternative to ice cream, it would be considered a cheat because of the cocoa powder. If you're still wanting something sweet and do not want to cheat, then simply add 1 tbsp. of almond/peanut butter in the blender with the bananas! You can still add some toppings to give it extra taste, such as coconut shavings or carob chips! Another option is to add carob powder instead of the cocoa powder***
