Meet Meg!
A few weeks short of her 14th birthday, Meg has already been acrobatic skiing for close to 5 years!
Meg started training with us just about 1 year ago. She was already quiet adept at skiing and we simply wanted to help support her physical development to match her high skill level.
In seeing her in the gym, one can see that she was quite the athlete. When given instructions about body positions, pillar and trunk positioning for stability at the gym, she followed them as best she could.
“I felt much more confident and strong this year I was a lot more stable hitting the moguls”. In acrobatic skiing, points are deducted for technique (trunk stability, if the head is moving too much, etc). To top it all off, she did not feel as tired at the end of long practise days. She has improved her scores (mostly due to her technique and ability to land jumps and maintain speed right into moguls”
We can’t prevent inevitable falls in this sport but if we can work together on making her resilient and robust to withstand all the impact!
All in all, we are super proud to have her on board and now that she is eligible to compete on the provincial circuit in acrobatic skiing, we are looking forward to seeing her on the podium many, many more times!
Great job Meg!
