Keeping your New Year's resolutions!
Did you know that Jan 21st is the day that most people stop following their resolutions?
Don't be a statistic! Try using these SMART guidelines to make sure your resolutions stick throughout the year.
Specific – goals should be stated in specific terms as opposed to “do your best”
Measurable – goals should be ones you can quantify allowing you to track your progress
Adaptable – goals should be reviewed intermittently and adjusted when necessary
Realistic – goals should be challenging but within one's abilities.
Time-framed – goals should be set within a reasonable time frame
All of you who set their resolutions to get fit, eat healthier and feel better this year we have a special program perfect to help make those resolutions a reality.
Specific – lose 2 jean sizes
Measurable – fitting into your jeans
Adaptable – personalized program designed for your needs and goals
Realistic – making a commitment to workout (4 hrs/week) and healthier meal planning
Time-frame – 6 weeks to forming a healthier lifestyle
Who's up for the challenge?
Check out one of last year's participants who fulfilled her goals in just 6 weeks and more importantly kept it up throughout the full year!
“it made me realize that taking four hours a week to take care of myself is a very unselfish thing to do because, in the end, I feel better about myself and I think that makes me a better mom, teacher, friend, person. I have more energy, patience, and positivity to share with others. So it isn’t just about improving me.”
“I feel so much better physically and mentally. I’ve got my old body back (almost)! I am not as overwhelmed by the little things that pile up in my day-to-day life. My sons are proud of me and it provides many important lessons for them: that women, and middle-aged ones at that, can work out and be fit; that making smart food choices is important. And, of course, I really enjoy the comradery of the classes and am starting to make new friends.”
