What is Athletic Therapy ?

Certified Athletic Therapists are the primary responders when injuries occur, having expertise in injury assessment and rehabilitation. Combining on-site care, eduction, evaluation and followed up with active rehabilitation makes them very capable at dealing with musculoskeletal injuries—be it on the sports field or within clinical settings.

Athletic Therapists cater to a diverse clientele: from young athletes recovering from injuries, to weekend warriors, to the amateur gardener, to clients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgeries. Using a mix of manual therapies, modalities, tailored exercise programs, they help their clients’ return to their regular activities, providing them with vibrant and healthy lifestyles.

Athletic Therapists cultivate a culture of proactive health management, ensuring holistic support for their clients.

What Athletic Therapy Looks Like in Practice

Injury assessment and treatment:
We begin with a detailed evaluation to understand the nature and extent of your injury. This includes a range of motion testing, strength and stability checks, and movement analysis to guide your personalized treatment plan.

Hands-on manual therapy:
Our certified Athletic Therapists use techniques such as joint mobilizations, soft tissue work, and stretching to reduce pain, restore mobility, and support healing.

Therapeutic exercise programming:
Once the injury is stabilized, we introduce progressive rehab exercises to rebuild strength, balance, and functional movement—always tailored to your sport, lifestyle, and recovery goals.

Education and prevention:
You’ll leave each session with a deeper understanding of your body, your injury, and how to avoid future setbacks. Home programs and movement strategies are part of your recovery toolkit.

Return-to-play or return-to-life planning:
Whether you’re aiming to get back to your sport, your job, or simply pain-free daily movement, we’ll guide you through a structured, confident return.
