It is an inflammation of the tendon because something around just isn&rsquo;t doing its job.<\/p>\n<p>This can be problems in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arches<\/li>\n<li>Foot<\/li>\n<li>Knee<\/li>\n<li>Hip and pelvis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About 5cm above the attachment point of the Achilles tendon to the heel bone (calcaneus), there is a sweet spot whereby there is very little blood supply to help heal the tendon when it is irritated.<\/p>\n<p>This can delay the healing process.<\/p>\n<p>Treating the tendon needs to happen but getting evaluated to ensure that nothing else along the chain is affected is key.&nbsp; Compensations are your body&rsquo;s defense mechanism.&nbsp; Your body is smart to avoid pain but in the process, can create pain!<\/p>\n<p>Give us a call to evaluate these postural, chronic issues.&nbsp; That is what we do best!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As thick and strong as the tendon is, it is vulnerable to some common irritations.&nbsp; An Achilles tendinitis is exactly that: an &ldquo; &ndash; itis&rdquo;.
