Elle est plus fr\u00e9quente chez les femmes en raison de la structure de leur bassin. En effet, femmes sont dot\u00e9es d\u2019un bassin plus large afin de pouvoir accoucher. \u00a0Cela affecte donc la fa\u00e7on dont le f\u00e9mur (os de la cuisse) repose sur le tibia, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un angle plus accru. L&rsquo;angle accru du f\u00e9mur associ\u00e9 \u00e0 une faible stabilit\u00e9 pelvienne et \u00e0 une mauvaise activation musculaire sont en partie responsable de cette d\u00e9formation au niveau du genou. Cette condition met beaucoup de pression et de stress sur l&rsquo;aspect m\u00e9dial de l&rsquo;articulation du genou. \u00c0 long terme, un genu valgum peut cr\u00e9er de la douleur, des probl\u00e8mes d\u2019arthrite, des m\u00e9canismes compensatoires et un risque accru de blessures aux ligaments et aux m\u00e9nisques. C&rsquo;est plus \u00e9vident chez certaines personnes que chez d&rsquo;autres. Dans certains cas, vous pouvez le remarquer simplement en les regardant debout et dans d&rsquo;autres, vous devez \u00e9valuer leur fa\u00e7on de bouger en leur demandant de faire un squat par exemple. Si vous vous sentez concern\u00e9 par cette d\u00e9formation du genu valgum ou avez remarqu\u00e9s que vos genoux rentrent vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur lors de l\u2019ex\u00e9cution de vos squats, voici 3 excellent exercices pour stabiliser votre bassin et activer les muscles appropri\u00e9s\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Marche lat\u00e9rale avec bande \u00e9lastique\u00a0: Placez une bande \u00e9lastique autours des genoux, au-dessus des rotules, pliez l\u00e9g\u00e8rement les genoux et poussez-les vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur afin d\u2019adopter la position d\u2019un quart de squat. Faites environ 10 pas vers la gauche et 10 pas vers la droite. R\u00e9p\u00e9tez l&rsquo;exercice jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 ce que vous ressentiez une sensation de br\u00fblure dans les muscles lat\u00e9raux de la hanche. Cela activera le muscle moyen fessier, qui est un important stabilisateur du bassin. R\u00e9p\u00e9tez 10 \u00e0 12 fois.<\/li>\n<li>Squats avec bande \u00e9lastique\u00a0: Placez une bande \u00e9lastique autours des genoux, juste au-dessus des rotules, et descendez en squat. Cela activera les muscles des hanches et du bassin afin qu&rsquo;ils puissent tirer le f\u00e9mur dans un angle appropri\u00e9, emp\u00eachant ainsi les genoux d&rsquo;aller vers l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur.<\/li>\n<li>Correction anti-valgum avec \u00e9lastique\u00a0: Placez une bande \u00e9lastique autour du genou de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 ce qu\u2019il soit tir\u00e9 vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur (\u2026oui, vous avez bien lu, le genou doit \u00eatre positionn\u00e9 en valgus). Ensuite, faites une fente avant tout en poussant votre genou vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur contre l\u2019\u00e9lastique. R\u00e9p\u00e9tez 10-12 fois par jambe.
